Built by Matson Navigation as Waikiki’s premier luxury retreat, the iconic Royal Hawaiian Hotel opened its doors in February 1927 to welcome transpacific cruise passengers. Following an unexpected delay from sea damage, Matson’s flagship steamship, the S.S. Malolo, triumphantly made its maiden voyage to Hawaii later that year.
On November 21, 1927, the Royal Hawaiian hosted a grand gala banquet to celebrate the arrival of the S.S. Malolo. This fine art reproduction set includes two prints: the vibrant cover artwork featuring the legendary ocean liner and the complete inside program detailing the evening’s multi-course dinner and festive events.
The set is only available in enhanced matte paper. If canvas is preferred, please order each print separately.
