This inaugural evening banquet menu cover celebrates the opening gala of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, built and opened by Matson on February 1, 1927. The illustration presents the pink-stucco hotel façade at night under a crescent moon, framed by a stylised red island motif featuring a native Hawaiian figure.
