Designed by Frank McIntosh, this printed ticket served both as a passage document aboard a Matson liner and as a cherished keepsake of an upcoming voyage. The bright yellow-and-orange lei bursting with vibrant pink and orange blossoms brings to mind the tropical beauty of Hawaii. Best known for his striking Art Deco–inspired artwork, McIntosh (1901–1985) designed a celebrated series of menu covers and posters that helped define the visual identity of luxury Pacific travel.
